1. 가스 Conversion Factor란 무엇인가?


MFC(Mass Flow Controller, 가스유량제어기)에서 같은 설정값으로 여러가지 다른 종류의 가스를 흘릴때 가스의 종류에 따라서 흐르는 부피가 다르다.
가스의 종류에 따라 다른 부피를 질소의 부피로 나누어 준값을 그 가스의 Conversion Factor라고 합니다.

예를들어 O2의 C.F=0.9779라면 어떤 MFC에서 질소가 100cc/min흐르는 설정에 대해서 CO2는 97.79cc/min 흐른다는 의미입니다.
사용자 입장에서 볼때도 Conversion factor를 알고 있다면 N2용 MFC를 구매한후 여러가지 다른 가스에도 적용할수 있다. 
실제로 MFC생산 회사에서도 N2로 교정하기 때문에 Conversion factor가 정확하다면 다른 문제는 없다.

 

2. Actual Flow Rate of Gas

 

                    Actual Flow Rate of Gas = Flow Rate  x  Correction of Nitrogen Fact



다음 표에는 열 기반 MFC의 질소와 관련된 다양한 가스에 대한 이론적 가스 보정 계수가 나열되어 있습니다. 
질소 보정과 공정 가스의 실제 흐름 사이에 비선형성이 존재할 수 있습니다.
